PRIVATE HIRE
MOTH Club is available for private hire: weddings, birthdays, parties, launches and brand events.
The venue is the Old Trades Hall on Valette Street in Hackney, still hung with the dark wood panelling and regimental shields of the ex-servicemen’s club it used to be, under a gold glitter ceiling.
THE MAIN HALL
300 standing or 150 seated, across about 139 sq m (1,500 sq ft).
A raised stage behind a gold tinsel curtain, a wooden dance floor set into a checkerboard tiled floor, knotty pine panelling in arched bays, and red leather booths with tables down one side.
In-house sound and lighting rig, with a venue engineer available.
THE WINSTON CHURCHILL BAR
A second, smaller room off the main hall. Red velvet banquettes, dark wood panelling, patterned carpet, a dartboard and a portrait of Churchill.
It works on its own for a smaller party, or alongside the main hall as a drinks reception, a green room, or somewhere quieter to sit.
WEDDINGS
MOTH Club is a two minute walk from Hackney Town Hall, so the ceremony at the register office and the reception can happen on the same street.
We host receptions. Ceremonies take place at the Town Hall.
