MOTH Club is available as a location for film, television, commercials, music video, photography, stills and editorial.
The venue is the Old Trades Hall on Valette Street in Hackney: a former ex-servicemen’s club that has been left as it was found, so it reads as period without a build.
THE MAIN HALL
A gold glitter ceiling over knotty pine panelling laid in chevrons, set in arched bays and hung with regimental shields. A raised stage behind a gold tinsel curtain. Red leather booths with tables along one side, a checkerboard tiled floor and a wooden dance floor.
About 139 sq m (1,500 sq ft), with a theatrical lighting rig already flown above the room.
THE WINSTON CHURCHILL BAR
A second, smaller room. Red velvet buttoned banquettes, dark wood panelling, patterned carpet, a dartboard and a portrait of Churchill.
It shoots as a working men’s club, a snug, a back room or a green room, and can be used on its own or alongside the main hall.
AVAILABILITY
Weekday daytimes are usually free ahead of the evening’s show, which is when most shoots book. Full days and weekends are possible around the programme.
